Create the event

Only the date and venue are required. You can also add an event name, public description, start time, doors time, address, city, ticket link, event link, private notes, and a setlist.

The public description appears on the gig page and in shared calendar details. Private band notes stay inside the band room for load-in, parking, contacts and backline information.

After the first save, you can add an optional event cover in the same 1.91:1 shape used by Facebook events. Bandpit uses it on the public gig page and in link previews. Keep names and dates near the center because some mobile previews crop the sides.

For a tour or a long list, use bulk import with Date | Venue | City | Time on each line.

Build the complete bill

A gig can contain up to 99 performers. Each performer can have a name, Bandpit artist link, role, set time, stage, and position in the running order.

• Put artists in running order. The public page turns confirmed doors and set times into a schedule without filling missing times with placeholders.
• Use a 24-hour clock for event, doors and set times. You can enter 20, 20:30 or 20.30; Bandpit saves the normalized time as 20:00 or 20:30.
• Use a free-text performer when the other artist is not on Bandpit.
• Link an existing Bandpit artist and invite its admins and editors to confirm the appearance.
• Only an accepted appearance links publicly and appears in the guest artist's gigs, calendar, and fan notifications.
• The event creator remains the owner and keeps the canonical event page.

Calendars and reminders

Visitors can add one event as an .ics file, subscribe to all upcoming shows for an artist, or request one day-before email for a specific gig. The one-off reminder uses its own confirmation and does not add the address to an artist or city list. Band members receive one internal reminder close to the gig when email delivery is enabled in production.

The public page can also be shared directly and offers ready-made Story, portrait, square and landscape images plus a first-party QR code from the canonical event data.

Check show readiness

Open Show readiness under an upcoming gig to see the working set, confirmed schedule information, public event state and optional event context together. The snapshot is calculated from the gig you already maintain, so there is no separate checklist to keep in sync.

The three key signals are guidance, not gates. Missing set times, cover art or public copy never stop you from saving, rehearsing or playing the show. Bandpit simply points to the next useful action and keeps promo and Live play close to the same event.

Public gig discovery

The nationwide gig directory shows upcoming public gigs in date and listed start-time order before a visitor chooses a filter. Tonight, this weekend, next 30 days, city and genre filters can be combined, and the chosen city is remembered on that device.

• The band page and public gig listing must both be enabled.
• Once the artist page is published, View public page appears directly in the band-room navigation.
• Each saved gig also has a View page action in the gig list and editor, so you can check the public event without returning to the Public page tab.
• Recognized clock times decide the order within one day. Shows with a missing or free-text time appear after timed shows on that date.
• An accepted guest appearance also reaches the guest artist's page, calendar, and fan notifications. The event owner keeps the one canonical gig page.
