Run a Live play session
Prepare every screen, count the band in at song tempo, and keep the room on the same section.
Prepare the session
- 1Choose a single song, or a full setlist on Pro.
- 2Choose Scroll mode for tempo-based movement or Step mode for manual section changes.
- 3For Scroll mode, choose a one-bar or two-bar count-in and an optional backing track.
- 4Ask each member to choose the lyrics, chords, and tabs needed on that device.
- 5Select Ready to place every screen on the waiting view.
- 6Select Start live play when the band is ready. The count-in follows the song tempo, then the song begins.
In 4/4, one bar gives four count-in beats and two bars gives eight. Ready never starts the music by itself.
Scroll mode
- Section timing uses bars, time signature, and BPM rather than the physical height of the text.
- The stage view shows the current and next section, bar, beat, and the approach to the next lyric section.
- The conductor can pause, resume, jump to a cue, change song, nudge the shared clock by one beat, or set a session-only tap tempo.
- The optional visual metronome is local to each device and off by default.
Step mode
The conductor advances every connected screen one section at a time. Use the controls, cue rail, Space, or arrow keys. Backing tracks are disabled in Step mode.
If a device reconnects
The current session is stored on the server. A late or reconnecting member should return to the same song, section, and running state rather than opening at an old song ending.
